Communicate with the heart

In a two-day training session with leaders from a local brand, a boss complained to me about one of his leaders who always stood out in every training, but when he returned to work, he was not like what he showed in class.His subordinates are often confused about his attitudes and decisions.

I met with this child for two days, I tried to be neutral so I could observe what was happening.Indeed, this child stands out in class, his appearance is attractive, neat and active in class.During the performance session he also showed his presentation skills.I observed carefully, it turned out there was body language that looked forced.Especially from the hand gestures when he started to speak, the unnatural jerking and also the sound pressure that sounded forced from several fragments of the words he said so that it gave the impression that I saw an orator speaking loudly.

My story above shows how everyone must have complete awareness in how they present themselves, including in presentations.Moreover, I have received insight from his superiors.When we have complete awareness in every interaction with anyone, we will be able to know whether the relationship we have made is appropriate and comes from the heart, or are we choosing not to be natural/pretend?

If we discuss the five human senses, the sense of taste is the most important part of communication that can be stored for a long time regarding the impressions a person makes in their daily life, including when we work and do activities.We can also actually feel someone's presence, whether what they do is genuine and comes from their heart or is made up.Especially for leaders who have a very big opportunity to always be observed by their subordinates.Communicating with the heart will certainly be felt in the heart and can make the organization one leads more productive and expand the target market.

That is the deep meaning of true communication.Because when we start with the heart, there will be empathy and everyone will feel appreciated, which will create a good and conducive atmosphere of openness in every organization.

When the second day was going on, this child asked me whether we should behave the same on every occasion, the same is meant by presenting ourselves honestly and openly, without any tendencies towards anyone?I answered that of course what we show in everyday life, at work must reflect who we really are, so that we will not get tired of managing ourselves and always be the best version of ourselves every day.Imagine if we had more than 3 environments, in family, work and friendship, we had different "faces" then it would be very difficult for us to place ourselves which in the end would make us far from what is really inside us.

It's time to learn to know ourselves better, be open to self-evaluation, carry out self-checks every time after we speak and see clearly how we behave and how we communicate with everyone without exception.Because everyone will be happy to meet someone who is sincere, honest and open, that's where the beauty of a relationship will be and everyone will talk with respect for themselves and others.
