Effective Communication Skills Training with Sinarmas Land
On Friday, July 28 2017, TALKINC held Effective Communication Skills Training with Sinarmas Land at Sinarmas Land Customer Care, BSD.The facilitator that day was Becky Tumewu. The training started at 9.00 am, the session started by showing 2 videos, a cooking video and a video about sharks, then several participant representatives were asked to retell the video, the participants were very enthusiastic about this activity.
Then the facilitator asked each participant, what was the first impression of other people when they met you for the first time, many participants answered quiet, humorous, fierce, etc.The facilitator also then explained the communication challenges that could be encountered, namely, fear of not providing benefits, unclear flow and objectives, not interactive, rushed and too detailed.
Communication is the process of verbal and non-verbal communication, sending and receiving messages, the negotiation process, persuasion and how to build relationships with the audience.Communication consists of 55% Body Language, 38% Voice Intonation and 7% words. When giving a presentation, you need to remember that a good presentation or speech consists of an opening (appreciation, ice breaking, building), body content (point of view, flow of thinking).
In the presentation, “Want – Need – Must” keep in mind, what you want to talk about, needs to be talked about and must be talked about. The facilitator also explained the importance of voice intonation, voice intonation must be dynamic, not flat and passionate.Body language is very important, body language is the only language that cannot lie, the facilitator gives several examples of body language, such as the Bill Clinton video, what is the meaning of this body language, which body language is good and which body language is bad.
