Why should you choose the MC-TV Presenter School at TALKINC?
This is the question most frequently asked by facilitators in class.Becoming a Master of Ceremony (MC) is 'a thrill', a job that I inevitably have to do.Why?
Tell us a little about the background of the work.I am a civil servant.In 2015, I was transferred to the Public Relations unit where one of the activities was receiving visiting students.Of course, during the visit, an MC is needed to organize the proceedings.So, as the only woman (at that time) in the unit, I was assigned to be the MC.Oh yes, in my office, the habit is for MCs to pair up (male and female).
I don't have the slightest basic knowledge about MC, let alone any experience.Luckily, my MC partner is an MC with a ton of experience.It's pretty safe, hehehe...
Pertengahan tahun 2018 lalu, bagian yang mengurusi SDM di kantor saya mengadakan training MC bekerja sama dengan TALKINC. Ketika tahu nama saya ada di dalam daftar peserta, rasanya senang sekali. Saya berpikir ini saatnya saya bisa tahu dasar-dasar pengetahuan menjadi seorang MC. Makin senang lagi karena ternyata saya dipilih oleh Bu Becky untuk bisa menambah wawasan di kelas Professional MC-TV Presenter.
Entering the Professional MC-TV Presenter class opened my eyes that becoming an MC is not easy.MC is not just 'talking' capital, there are many things that must be prepared.
If you ask me what material is my favorite, it's hard to answer because they're all my favorites.Hehehe... But there are 2 (two) materials that I really like, namely:
1. Teaming with your partner
2. Brand image
Materi Teaming with your partner ini tentu saja sangat berguna bagi saya. Seperti yang sudah saya ceritakan diatas. Di kantor saya, MC itu berpasangan. Dan saya menyadari bahwa saya punya kelemahan saat MC berpasangan yaitu takut berbicara. Selama ini saya cenderung menjadi pihak yang pasif. Pesan fasilitator, mba Irina Dewi, saat menyampaikan materi ini bahwa MC itu satu tim dan harus balance, tidak boleh ada yang terlihat dominan ataupun pasif. Dalam satu tim itu harus saling mengenal karakter masing-masing dan harus ada pembagian tugas yang jelas.
Then for Brand image material.At first I was a little unsure when I found out that Ms. Kamidia Radisti was the facilitator of this material.I think Ms. Kamidia will be included in the total look class.But it turns out that Ms. Kamidia Radisti is the champion, she can really make this class a venting session.Hahahah….
Dalam kelas brand image ini, mba Kamidia sampaikan bahwa seorang MC itu harus tahu image-nya itu seperti apa. Tidak semua MC bisa membawakan acara formal maupun informal. Maka dari itu, tentukan image seperti apa yang ingin dibangun, yang dikenal oleh masyarakat.
Well, I have passed 8 meetings.And little by little I have applied the knowledge I gained when I was an MC in the office.
MCing for the first time in 2019, my MC partner said: "You are more relaxed now, your tek-tok is more flexible. It's better to chat."
Honestly, it feels really good.
