Online Learning it’s a New Trend Now

We used to know the terms Conference Call or Video Call, a term that was popular in the early 2000s.Not everyone in this world maximizes this technology in our lives, especially those who run a business or as a professional. Many people in life and business still choose the classic style of communication ritual, namely meeting face to face, which essentially shows that we are social creatures.Meanwhile, in the development of increasingly powerful technology, especially when the Covid-19 pandemic hit the whole world, we have become more technologically literate, adapting to super fast changes. In line with these demands, application implementers are starting to provide features that can send slides and videos as if we were meeting in person. These limitations are now thinning as technology continues to develop.
What is happening now to the large number of client requests for training that previously had to be held, but with the government regulations regarding Social Distancing, most of us are now doing all our office work at home. The large demand for training is now slowly starting to shift, namely to virtual learning or online learning. At the beginning when this pandemic occurred, we received information that all training was suspended until conditions improved. However, companies must still have an obligation to continue providing training to all their workers without exception, so companies that previously had suspended training schedules are slowly starting to buy our online learning program.
As a facilitator who usually carries out activities in class and now has to move to digital, of course we have to change the learning method to be more interactive with the flow of material which we adjust in connection with the different attention limitations of each participant. This strategy becomes important in line with existing changes.
For me, the online session was more challenging because we had to pay closer attention to the participants. From the Online Learning process that we carry out, whether for the number of participants under 30 people or up to more than 400 people that we have carried out so far, other challenges also arise from the participants' side to focus 100% in each session. In order to be able to absorb all the input and material provided, in my opinion it is actually a challenge to stay focused and forget about the turmoil of life which must be put aside first by the Online participants, as quoted from one of the comments from a Head of Human Resources to me at that time”Whether the teacher is good at teaching or not, but if we still have difficulty focusing, it's useless to join online learning “.How about you?
