Outbound Program "Collaboration"

Let's talk about collaboration.A word that has a lot of work in it.If this word is related to what we do in every training, especiallyoutbound program activity di mana makin banyaknya permintaan organisasi untuk “merapihkan” setiap individu yang bernaung dibawahnya.

Kita tentu tahu beberapa organisasi besar, baik di dalam maupun di luar negeri yang dulu nama mereka sangat besar kemudian sekarang hilang tanpa bekas, sebut saja, perusahaan jamu raksasa Nyonya Meneer, Asuransi Jiwasraya, Nokia, Kodak, dan masih banyak lagi, dan nama-nama lain yang tidak saya sebutkan, satu persatu bila tidak dapat menyatukan semua individu didalamnya akan bernasib sama.

From what we have observed in recent years in relation to large, private, government and foreign companies, the many different and contrasting generations provide challenges for leaders to be able to unite everyone in one common goal.Unfortunately, these differences are increasingly creating “chasms”which is getting bigger.An apathetic, individualistic attitude with a big influence from gadgets, then they get easily irritated, superiors tend to impose their opinions, the Millennials and even the Z generation who are indifferent and give up easily make the gap bigger and of course affect the running of the company.

Dalam sebuah outbound di mana waktu itu saya bertugas sebagai facilitator selama 3 hari untuk membantu sebuah divisi dari perusahaan jasa keuangan agar dapat mendekatkan “jurang” yang terasa semakin lama semakin jauh, yang pada akhirnya semua orang sadar pentingnya kolaborasi. Dari sekian banyak pelatihan yang kami lakukan, contoh pada tahun lalu ratusan pelatihan dari lebih 20 program yang kami miliki, ada sekitar 20 persen permintaan akan program outbound bermunculan, sedangkan tahun sebelumnya (2018) belum ada permintaan tentang program ini. Sebuah pertanda bahwa jurang yang makin besar memerlukan usaha yang besar dari organisasi untuk segera membereskan PR ini.

In contrast to the in-house training program that we always carry out, the impact of change in each person can be said to be not much, only under 10%, whereas if this program is combined with outbound activities, from experience so far, around 30% of the positive impact is received and it opens up the awareness of each participant that we cannot be successful alone, especially in our careers.This means that this can bring people who previously didn't care about each other, far apart, to get to know each other better and not have a silo mentality.Honestly, the success of a collaboration certainly follows vertical and horizontal lines, between superiors and subordinates as well as with each existing division.

That times have changed, where the spirit of mutual cooperation is increasingly fading and self-centeredness is increasingly visible in every wheel of life.And if the leader is not sensitive, then sooner or later the ship he is driving will soon sink. Many programs need to be implemented immediately that can make all individuals brave and open.Dare to speak, open your mind and throw away the feeling of EGO that has been there.Because when all these things can be done immediately, everyone will have the ability to carry themselves better, more positively and of course communicate more assertively.So, what about your company?
