Public Speaking: #MulaiAjaDulu
During the pandemic, everyone is competing to live a healthy life by exercising and eating healthy food.I am one of those who want to live a healthy life by exercising regularly.Because when PPKM was not allowed to go out, I replaced it with exercise in my house which was very strategic (toilet, dining table, adjacent room) so I tried to do push-ups.The first day my target was 30x push-ups in 5 minutes and I succeeded even though I had a blue face. The second day I felt pain in my chest and arms so I decided to "take a break" until the fifth day. Then I thought about “resetting” the push up intensity starting from 20 and increasing consistently every week.At the end of August, I had done 140 push-ups in 7 minutes without breaking. And I realized that when these push-ups become a habit, the subconscious mind will order the brain to do them without any feeling of burden.

Like the title of this article, which I took from the marketplace tagline, namely "just start first" with a very small business.Often every participant in class always asks how to become proficient in “public speaking" or want to be a presenter at the office. This can all start from simple things which are then done consistently. For example, ask one question at every meeting if you are used to just being a "follower". You have to "Speak up" and express your ideas. When you are used to asking questions at meeting sessions, you will develop into not only asking questions but being able to spark ideas. Once you are used to having the courage to speak, then try to have the courage to propose yourself to be a presenter at internal office events. Sometimes starting something feels harder, why? Because there are many fears &worries in your mind that don't necessarily happen. When you start, it's habits that will make you become proficient in a specific skill that you want.Getting out of your comfort zone is indeed the most challenging thing. But believe me, it will make you a strong and adaptable person in this era full of uncertainty.
Come on, just start!
