When Preparation Meet Opportunity To Get A Job As MC
If someone asks if it's been your dream for a long time to be an MC?Honestly, since I was little I preferred being told to count rather than being told to talk. And until 5 years ago, I never imagined I would host an event, let alone go into depth in that field.Since 2013, I have worked as a banker at a state-owned bank. The first time he was assigned as MC for an event in the office, it was because of the office culture which always hires new people at every office event.
And I got the part as MC.Confused?Clear.But finally he decided to agree. And after that event, it turned out that I was addicted to waiting for other events at the office with various themes (in the end I liked talking rather than calculating hehhe). At that time, I only had to be brave and learn from seniors in the office who often became MCs, plus learning from the shortcomings felt while being MCs at each event.
At one point I thought about “be more intentional”deepen this field and learn with “experts”.Finally I decided to (once again dare) get out of my comfort zone and learn new things by taking the Professional MC-TV Presenter class at Talkinc. When I first entered class I was nervous because my knowledge about this field was very minimal but I was also very excited to gain new knowledge.
So, if you were asked to choose which class you like the most, it's a bit difficult to choose, because you like all the classes and all the facilitators, they always motivate us all to dare to take up the offer of ngemsi or even offer ourselves to do ngemsi at office or family events, as a place to practice what we have learned in class.
How to Create Your Script. Mind blown! Jadi harusnya ga ada alasan lagi buat saya bilang kehabisan bahan ngomong.
And finally when I got the MC job afterwards, what I did was challenge myself to explore many perspectives on 1 event theme. If I didn't join Talkinc, I would still be confused about what to talk about now, especially when I'm on stage.
And the last, I’d like to say thank you to Talkinc and all of my facilitators, and also mba Nicky dan mas Taufik (yang sudah banyak membantu dan memberikan info-info penting untuk kami), berkat kalian, saya berani mencoba mengambil job MC dengan tema diluar comfort zone saya (paling nyaman sebenernya jadi MC Corporate).
